The “Bible I Actually Use” as a Busy Mom (and How I Make It Work)

mindset

Let me just say this first: I don’t have an hour for a quiet, uninterrupted Bible study.

I have kids asking for snacks, a workout to coach, laundry halfway folded, and about 12 tabs open in my brain at all times.

And for a long time, that made me feel like I was failing at being consistent in my faith.

But here’s what changed everything for me…

👉 I stopped trying to make my Bible time look “perfect”
👉 And started making it possible

That’s where this journaling bible comes in. This is the one I actually reach for.

Why This Bible Study Journal Works (When Life Feels Full)

The biggest shift for me wasn’t more time. It was a better system.

This journal keeps things simple, focused, and doable — even on the busiest days.

Instead of:

  • Overthinking what to read
  • Skimming without actually reflecting
  • Or skipping it altogether

It gives me a structure I can come back to every single day.

And that matters more than motivation ever will.

What My Bible Time Looks Like Right Now

Let’s remove the pressure for a second.

This is what it actually looks like for me most days:

  • I open my Bible (even if it’s just one passage)
  • I write down what stood out
  • I reflect on how it applies to my life right now
  • I close it and move on with my day

That’s it.

No perfection. No long checklist. Just consistency.

Even a short, intentional study like this can help:

  • Refocus your mindset
  • Bring peace into chaotic days
  • Strengthen your connection with God over time

And honestly? That’s the goal.

Faith + Real Life Can Coexist

I used to think I needed:

  • More time
  • More quiet
  • More discipline

But what I really needed was something that fit into the life I already have.

Because let’s be real…

God meets us in the middle of our actual lives, not the perfectly curated version.

Even small, consistent Bible study has been shown to help connect faith to everyday habits and decisions, making it more sustainable long-term.

And that’s exactly what this journal helps me do.

If You’re Feeling Behind… Read This

If you’ve ever thought:

  • “I need to get back into my Bible”
  • “I don’t even know where to start”
  • “I don’t have time for this right now”

You’re not alone.

But you don’t need a full reset.

You just need a starting point.

This is mine.

Final Thoughts: It’s Not About Doing More

It’s about showing up.

Even if it’s:

  • 5 minutes
  • One verse
  • One page

That still counts.

And over time, those small moments?
They build something really powerful.
